Want to know whom i met last sunday night???

this is the problem with blogging from mail....

you wont be able to make corrections on the post u've already submitted... it requires an additional post like this...

but i will edit that post and delete this one once i get a direct net connection,or atleast when i could change the settings of my blogger account...

now, coming to the point, this blog is actually supposed to be about somebody whom i met last sunday night... after my library works, i went to the hostel late, by around 9.30 pm... as i reached the road infont of our college (my college mates may be knowing, its there infront of the parking slot, not near the mess, but on the road side) i saw something lying on the dimly lit road...at first i thought its something like a stone or a hard thing of that sort...but to my surprise, it was a small turtle..

when i went near it, it identified my presence and took its head and legs into its mobile house...i stood there thinking wat to do...at first i decided to take it to the hostel...so i took it...it was like holding a disk in your hand...

that thing na, in which the turtle stays, its really hard...u hit it with some stone or even small rock pieces, nothing is gonna happen, i can guarantee...

i tried to c its face, but it was too dark...

but later when i saw a pond on the road side, my interest to take it to the hostel was gone and i decided to leave it there...

never got a chance to take a turtle in my hands... or was it coz i was not ready to do it...

we have a small turtle here in our campus...its there in the small pond in the biotech campus where there is a statue of goddess saraswathi...

n the thought came to my mind only today morning...that i should have taken that one i got from the road and put it in the pond in our campus, so that the one here would have got a new company...

but wat to do...

past is past...

anyways it was a nice experience... to have a live turtle in my hand..

but a doubt still stays in my mind...shall i call it "turtle" or "turtoise"... can anyone differentiate pls???

The Library

The most important of all my activities in the last few days (and its still goin on) was to develop a personal web page and an online library...

both are now on air...you can visit my home page at http://anoop.us.to and the library at http://library.us.to ...

the links to all my sites are provided in my homepage itself...those links will be given in the blogger also, but for that i've to get a network connection not through the proxies...

regarding the library, we got the idea when we were  surfing through the university digital library...c, we get the books from the university library itself, and a brief summary of the books can be taken from the great one and only wikipedia.org...so why simply sitting wasting the time rt...

and we decided to start working on it...for the last 2 to 3 days we were really busy with all those things...and with some technical support from visak and roshan, the library was on air from day before yesterday...

i've been thinking of getting a personal home page for the last few months..last day i found a good template in the net and without thinking anything else, edited it and the stuff was on air from yesterday evening...

do visit all these things and let me know your opinion...also feel free to put suggestions...it might contain bugs...please report it in ok...

i know, putting all these book stuff on the net is against the privacy rules, but now i'm not thinking about it seriously...c, if u want to have it free, then in the present world, i dont think its very difficult with all the torrents and blogs out there rt...

Life without blogger

Our ites department has got the most intelligent network brains i think...they work really hard to make the network work properly...and the result is that we are able to use the network in an efficient way...
but u know wat, they cut off all the sites that they think are not necessary or good from the local network...they have got a very good collection of proxies and firewalls which give us a lot of problems nowadays...the most problematic of all their bans as far as i'm concerned is the one they have implemented on blogger...think we, in the elearning lab, started using blogger in a more detailed manner by sending blogs one after the other and doing all sorts of addons on the blogger...n one day they blocked it...ho...its horrible...
we had set our moods into such a way that all our experiences can now be shared with the world and they suddenly stood in between...wat to do...unfortunately all my more intelligent friends had enabled the blogging from mail method and they kept on blogging...and i became the sasi...seriously...
and i decided to enable the blogger at any cost...thus jus some few minutes ago, i used the direct internet connection in our lab which is not through the bloody proxies and enabled the blogging via mail...
and this is my first blog via mail...
but i dont think i'll be able to add more blogs to ANAMORPHIC...coz the proper look and feel of the ANAMORPHIC goes with the label feature and we are not able to put labels through mails, atleast to the best of my knowledge...if someone knows the method, do let me know ok...

a lot of things happened in between u know...n its very unfortunate that i was not able to put it on time...
anyways...now i'm happy...

n today i'm gonna have multiple blog entries i think...

looks like i'm in the rt mood...

The camel kid...from Ras al-Khaima

hey...look at the camel...janey brought it for me from Ras-al-Khaima...
i asked her to bring me a camel kid...n she brought this one...
she was here in the college with sreeboy and silpa yesterday...
got lots of chocolates too...snickers, bounty, FR,galaxy etc etc...
bt i dont understand y ppl always bring lot of chocolates when they return from foriegn countries...
why should we bother rt???jus enjoy the chocolates...thats it... :-)
went to oachira Royale Regency and had a nice buffet...a small treat with our first salary...there were 9 of us...just like the buffet we had after our project presentation...that was the last official working day in our engineering college life...bt the hotel ppl increased the rate for buffet...when asked they told me its coz they now have got 3 star status...and that inflation is also affecting them...inflation has now become a global phenomenon rt??? then y blame them...
but the food was good...thats more important i think...

My first salary... from the E-learning Lab in Amrita

oye...got the first salary...very much unexpected...actually we were thinking like we wont be getting the salary for last month...
and to be frank, coz of the lack of motivation i was losing my interest in the project...
so i took leave yesterday afternoon, and was thinkin of takin a full day leave today...
n when i went to the mess for lunch today, roshan called and told me the good news...
so me now in the lab...got motivated...a new energy is rushing through my nerves... :-)
feeling very much excited...:-):-)
everyone will be like this rt? when they get their first ever salary...
and in my case, i was economically so tight for the last few days...its nandesh and roshan who were managing me...
now i think i can relax a bit...
here all are excited after getting their first ever salary...and i think they also are feeling the same as i felt regarding the motivation factor.
now gotta think, wat to do with this money...
n ya...forgot to tell the amt...its 2207, bt got 2206, dont know y the accounts manager didn give me that 1 rp...n i'm least worried about it...
its really a nice feeling yaar...an earning of your own...hope from now on i wont have to go to my parents and ask them money for any activities...its good na...

blogger / wordpress...

i was wondering why these people are like this...know wat, if one facility is available here, then it wont be available there and vice versa...i'm telling about blogger and wordpress...its very confusing...afterall i dont think i'll be able to maintain both the blogger and wordpress blogs throughout my life time...at one stage i'll be forced to select one rt???
the problem that i face rt now is some of the facilities offered by blogger which i find very useful are not there with wordpress...and the look and feel that wordpress provides with its wide variety of themes, its not there in blogger...and blogger has got only a very few themes, that too not so exciting...but at the same time blogger is a little more handy...
was wondering which one i should select...
think i'll be goin for blogger only...
afterall its not the look and feel that u r gonna value more rt???
i rememeber reading somewhere that whereever you find very beautiful things there are a lot of risks and not so nice things behind them...haven't yet thought about it in a detailed manner...may be later in my life i may understand it na...
anyways...life is now goin on jus like that...no tensions...no worries...no responsibilities...
working in the elearning lab is also very interesting...though our dept head is trying to inject a lot of pressure into our nerves, nothing seems to be working out...
has been planning a lot of things within the last days...all expecting that they will be giving us some stipend for the work we had done in the last month...though v cant boast of the things that we did during the last month, atleast we spend our time in here and coz of that reason i think they should pay us... :-)
mess food is getting better...they have changed the mess hall to the hall in the ground...now there is more air circulation n jus coz of that reason the usual smell that we experienced during our college days is not there...n there is a lot of space...regarding the quality of the food, i think the improvement is coz of the less number of students in the clg...
now simply sitting in the e learning lab...got nothing special to do...almost completed a module in the morning session...now waiting for another module specification...our dept head now at US i think...heard we r gonna have a meeting in the afternoon thru skype...
the monsoon has started...sun hasn't yet shown himself yet...a bit cloudy...hope it wont rain before we reach back hostel...
one of my college mate, lakshmi krishnan, widely known as cheeni was called from inautix where she was placed...they told her to join on 23rd at Chennai...infosys ppl are goin on 16th...higher studies walas are already settled abt wat to do next...i was wondering wat the tcs ppl are gonna do...
n tell u wat...this blogging stuff is very interesting...
